Who is Madison Owl?

At the half century mark of my life I can look back and see what a long, winding road it has been. I didn’t know when I was born in Tennessee to two scientists I would devote my life to a spiritual journey, but that is what has occurred. When I was a kid life had to be logical and proven - scientifically proven was the preferred way. But all this changed for me right after my 21st birthday when I had a profound spiritual awakening. It was as though my mind and heart exploded open. I had a glimmer of a sensible Universe. That day an insatiable desire to know the truth of this Universe was born inside of me. It was not to be a scientific search, but a spiritual one and so my travels began.

If you glance at my education below you’ll see I’ve spent a lot of time looking and learning. Through art and design I learned about the Creator within. Time working as a counselor helped me to understand human issues better. My Ph.D in Metaphysical Science is a capstone of my spiritual journey over the last 30 years. It summarizes all the thousands of books I have read, the multitudes of workshops, retreats, and spiritual quests I have either given or been a participant in. My family knows me as a Forever Student. Before I couldn’t get enough information on what God is and how it All works. Now after years and years, I’m at peace with a deep understanding of the Goodness that surrounds us and works through us.

Every step of the way, I have been surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes. During meditations, a cat would sit in my lap. On long walks a dog would romp beside me. Standing in fields I would say hi to passing eagles. Walking down the road I would chat with the chipmunks. I never thought these small conversations were anything unusual. It wasn’t until friends began calling me for help with their animals that I learned people didn’t naturally understand their animals. After a brief conversation with their cat or horse, things would smooth out for everybody.

One day I was called by a woman I did not know. She asked for help with her animals. I spent an hour talking with her furry friends and afterwards she said, “You’re it!” I did not know what she was talking about and asked, “What’s ‘it’?” She then told me her name was Judy Meyer, an internationally known pet psychic. She said she had written a book on animal communication, been on radio and TV and is now ready to retire. She has searched for someone to give her business to for five years and I was that person. This conversation occurred over six years ago. Since that day I have received calls from all over the country and out of the country as well. The majority of my clientele has been by word of mouth. After a life time of wandering and searching I have found the divine in the connection I have with animals. I have also found that most people need to hear what their animals have to say because they hold so much insight. I love what I do and no longer need to seek because I have found. I spend my days in a quiet practice of first connecting with my spirit and then connecting with the wisdom of the animals and it is truly a beautiful thing.
